Born and raised in China, Serene came to Canada at the age of nineteen. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry at Ryerson Polytechnic University. She then entered the dental school at the University of Toronto (U of T) with an entrance scholarship. In 2001, she graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at U of T with honors. She then completed one year of residency program in a hospital in the United States. Upon returning to Canada, Serene worked in multiple rural practices before starting her own practice in 2007.
Serene is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. She and her husband currently live in the south part of Ottawa. In her leisure time, she enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with her two children.
Dr. Palleck grew up in Kanata and even back in high school he was very interested in dentistry. He went to the University of Ottawa and graduated with an Honors degree in Biology. He then graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Western University in the year 2000, and has been working in Ottawa ever since.
Over the years Dr. Palleck has taken many continuing education courses, and he always tries to keep up to date on any advances in dentistry to better serve the patients. When not doing dentistry, Dr. Palleck enjoys skiing, tennis, camping and hanging out with friends and family.
Both Dr. Yu and Dr. Palleck are members of the Ontario Dental Association and the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.
I am born and raised in ottawa. I graduated from Dental assisting at Everest college back in Feb of 2009.
I have experience within the General practice including Pediatrics and Orthodontics specialty.
Many would say that I portray a strong personality and that I am very independent.
My passions include caring for people and their well being.I enjoy personal fitness and doing charity runs (mudgirl run and foam fest). I am a mother to 2 boys and am very family oriented.
I joined Dr Yu’s practice just over 16 months ago and its been a wonderful experience being an active member of her team and working chairside with her. I look forward to many more years and experiences with her and the team.
Graduated as a level I dental assistant from Career Canada College in 2002, Yet then became a level II certified dental assistant after Algonquin College. Yet is also a member of the Ontario Dental Assistant Association.
She has had the pleasure of meeting many of the patients since joining the practice. She enjoys working in dental offices specialized in general dentistry. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with family, friends, reading, cooking and playing with her new puppy.
She is happy to be part of a great team of dental professionals.
Hi! Since Terri had decided to semi-retire, I am the newest addition at Rideauview Mall Family Dentistry. I am thrilled to be joining such a wonderful group of professionals. I started my dental career as a certified level 2 dental assistant for the first six years. Then, six years ago, I decided to move to the administrative aspect of dentistry. I am very capable of helping you with your insurance claims and answering any questions you might have. In addition, I love that I can have a positive impact on a patient’s experience at our office. In my spare time, I keep busy with my three children. We enjoy being outdoors and enjoying the sunshine. I am truly blessed to get to know you and your families. I look forward to meeting you all.
I joined the office of Dr. Yu in 2019. I am so lucky to work in an office with many wonderful dental professionals. I have worked in the dental field for over 15 years. With this experience, I bring a thorough knowledge of dental office administration. When you call the office, I will be one of the friendly voices to help you. I am always willing and ready to help and assist you as needed. If I am unable to assist you, I will be happy to direct any questions or inquiries to the appropriate care provider. I enjoy meeting and getting to know people while helping them feel comfortable and welcoming during visits. I enjoy travelling, watching movies, and spending time with friends, family and my grandchildren.
Lynda has been a practicing full-time Registered Dental Hygienist graduating from Algonquin College in 1994. Prior to this she attended UNB in her hometown of Fredericton, NB. She then moved to Ottawa to study at Algonquin, graduating in Dental Assisting (1992) and then her beloved profession of Dental Hygiene (1994). She feels fortunate to be a part of the enthusiastic team at Dr. Serene Yu’s office along with Dr. Jesse Palleck. She loves working with clients of all ages helping them to feel cared for and comfortable at every dental visit. Educating by providing information and building a trusted working partnership is key to attaining and maintaining each person’s optimal oral health. Having a healthy mouth and smile contributes to our body’s overall well-being and general health. She’s been a member of the CDHA, ODHA and the ODHS and continually upgrades her knowledge with courses, seminars and conferences every year.
When Lynda is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, nieces and nephews, family, friends, staying active and especially travelling to create new adventures!

Anne is the newest member in this office and she is excited to be working with a friendly team of dental professionals. She is looking forward to meeting our patients and helping them achieve a healthy and beautiful smile!
Anne has a university degree from Carleton University and she is an honours graduate of Algonquin College in the Dental Hygiene program. Anne is a member of the Ottawa Dental Hygiene Society and Ontario Dental Hygiene Association.
Anne enjoys all aspects of being a registered dental Hygienist. She strives to create positive dental experiences for all patients, while maintaining a light and gentle touch to make each patient feel comfortable in the dental chair. Anne promotes oral health by helping people understand oral diseases, and how our services along with your home care routine will help to minimize or slow down the progression of gum disease. Our patients are Anne’s number one priority.
At home, Anne enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, biking and long walks with her dog.
